If a pilot has been invited to multiple ROCs, they can easily switch between different ROC accounts.

Flyte Zone is a web application which is compatible with all browsers. All you need is an Internet connection and you’re good to go!
International ROCs can access the platform as it is a web application. However, please note that the system rules are currently based on South African legislation and regulations. If you are a ROC operating outside South Africa and are interested in using the platform, kindly reach out to us by leaving a message on our Contact Us page on our website. We will be glad to assist you and discuss possible options for accommodating your specific needs.
Using the system
Only primary and secondary ROC admin user roles have the ability to update account details. ROC admin users can edit the account details by navigating to the “Manage ROC - my details” page.
You only require a valid email address when inviting a new crew member to join your ROC. Once the crew member receives the invitation email, they need to follow the sign-up instructions as per the invitation email.
The system offers ten role types that a crew member can be assigned to.
These role types include:
Support Staff:
Primary Admin
Secondary Admin
Post Holders:
Accountable Manager
PR Aircraft
Safety Manager
PR Flight Operations
Security Manager
Quality Manager
Specialists:
Pilots
Maintenance Technician
Once the user accepts the invitation, the crew member status will be updated to "onboarded." Additionally, you will receive an in-platform notification to promptly alert you of the user's acceptance.
Yes, crew member invitations do expire. Crew members have 48 hours to accept the invitation by following the sign-up instructions included in the invitation email.
Yes, when a crew member is logged into the platform they will have the ability to switch between ROC accounts.

Yes they are. Primary and secondary ROC admin users have the ability to assign themselves multiple roles within the organisation in-platform via the settings. If you wish to assign an additional role to a crew member who is not an ROC admin user, you will need to send them a new invitation specifically for the additional role. This second invitation will allow the crew member to take on the additional role within the organisation.

Yes, you are able to download and view documents that you have uploaded to the system.
All documents are stored within the document repository.
You are able to create multiple operations simultaneously. There are no limitations in place.
Once an operation has been completed, it gets archived. Editing the operation details is not possible at this stage, but you can access and view the operation details through the archived operations tab.
An operation remains in a draft status until it is published. There are no time restrictions imposed on operations in the draft status.
The risk rating is calculated by utilising the ICAO hazard risk assessment matrix and applying it to the severity and probability ratings that you provide.
Once a mitigation is recorded for a risk, the risk rating is automatically "replaced" with the rating assigned to the mitigation.
Hazard sign-offs are determined by the hazard risk level. In the Manage ROC section of the ROC settings, you have the ability to specify the user role type that is necessary to sign off on the hazard risk level. As per this configuration, the crew member assigned with the corresponding role type for the hazard risk level will be responsible for signing off on the hazard.
The system will not block a pilot from flying but will alert the user to all outstanding requirements and allow the user to either comply with the outstanding requirements or to acknowledge that they wish to proceed notwithstanding the outstanding requirements.
Once the flight is completed, the flight data is added to the flight folio.
There is no limit to the number of crew members that can be added to an operation.
Primary and secondary ROC admin users can add gear to the system.
There are four types of gear that can be added to the Flyte Zone system, namely:drones, batteries, payload and equipment.
Users are not able to remove a maintenance plan, but they can edit the plan to update and incorporate new details.

There are a total of six system-generated reports available, encompassing a hazard report, incident report, risk assessment report, weather report, maintenance log, and flight folio report.
You will need to export your audit reports by clicking on the generate button associated with the specific audit report. Once the audit report is generated, click on the download button. The audit report will be downloaded as a zip folder to your computer. After the download is complete, you can access the report from your computer. Then follow the required CAA channels to submit the audit report. Submitting an audit report directly from Flyte Zone to the CAA is not possible at this stage.
The audit report comprises all of the data required by the CAA for a successful audit. Any pertinent data you capture and applicable documents you upload will be incorporated and organised into a logical folder structure, making your reporting process more streamlined and straightforward.
